TAQWA Eco-Food is a meat and poultry cooperative that is committed to four communities: consumers, farmers and food-production workers, the animals, and the Earth.

That commitment means providing premium quality, organic and natural meat products, fair and honorable working conditions, animals that are pasture-fed, hormone free and antibiotic-free, humanely raised and slaughtered, ecological sustainability and just economic practices.

Although we are still a long way from our vision of a local circular food model that is independent and completely sustainable, we have created relationships with local farmers and we are providing beef, lamb and chicken to our members. Currently we have two pick up spots and plans to increase those to at least five in the next year.

In addition we are creating programs to subsidize this food to lower income brackets that would not be able to afford this food and youth center programs.

By joining this co-op you are not only accessing the most wholesome of foods and making ecologically conscious decisions, you are also supporting the sustainable local farmers who put their love as well as their sweat in their work to be around for our children and their children.
